I have an A2 and an oplder Sony LCD projection tv. While watching HD movies sometimes, a dark shadow outline appears to the left of an image sometimes.

For example, in Transformers, before the sand monster comes out, there is a scene where a soldire is wlking on top of a sand dune with the white sky background. Directly to the left is a reddish black outline/shadow of the soldier.

Could this be that my bulb needs changing (hasnt been changed since I bought it 3 years ago)

Do I have a bad HD player?

Could be something with the TV. (my first guess)
How is A2 connected? Is it component?
If it is component I'd check the cables.
I doubt its a player problem but it might be. Maybe someone in the TV or Hd player section will chime in with the answer.

A2 connected via hdmi to a H/K 247.

you might try to run the A2 directly to the Tv via HDMI, that way if it still has the problem you know it either the TV or the A2. But I'm not an expert and somebody else may have better advice.

If it is the A2 it should be under warrenty or returnable for an exchange.

thanks for the tip, i was wondering if anybody else had experience with what the image on an lcd projection tv starts to do once the lamp starts to go bad
