Merry Christmas All!

I hope you've all had a great holiday!

Mine has been wonderful, but it would be even better if I could get my new C3X-E and Toshiba XA2 to play nice. A little history: I've been using the XA2 with an Infocus 7210 using an HDMI-DVI adapter at the XA2 and DVI-M1 adapter at the 7210 with no problems. The DVI cable is 10 meters. The C3X-E is going to be mounted about 16" further back, so I was planning on chucking the adapters and installing a 35 foot HDMI cable. I bought Blue Jeans top of the line BJC Series 1 cable, which is HDMI 1.3a (CTS 1.3b1) certified. I bought two because I also wanted to run HDMI from my DIRECTV HD Tivo box (10-250). I tried the first cable and got a No Signal message from the C3X. I then tried a 5 foot length of Blue Jeans cheaper cable and it worked. So then I tried the other 35 footer and it worked. I think I must have tried the first 35 footer again and it failed. After that, I couldn't get any of the cables to work, not even the short one. I tried powering down the C3X, in hopes that maybe that would resolve some handshake issue, but that didn't do the trick.

Does anyone have any advice for me? I remember that there was a trick to getting HDMI to work with the Anthem D2, so I'm wondering if there is a procedure one must follow to get the Sim2 to handshake and recognize the signal. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Will

In case anyone else has this issue, I tried again today and got one of the 35' cables to work. I plugged in the HDMI cable into the XA2 and the C3X before plugging the power cord into the C3X, and then fired up the projector. Voila! I never did get the second cable to work, so it may be defective.

Hoi

Normal first power up the projector and when the no input is on screen power up the HDDVD player.
