Looking for either Black acoustic panels or acoustic foam to go around my projection screen and side walls and maybe ceiling right above the screen. Trying to help out with the side and rear reflections from my speakers and also improve picture quality being that my room is mostly light colors but even though I want the material to be black I want it also to be esthetically appealing meaning no egg shell container look. I'd rather it be a flat surface maybe with some lines in it. Any ideas?

You best bet is to start a thread in the dedicated construction area....a lot of discussion on acoustic materials and where to buy. I would run a search, since there is a thread about that says something along the lines of "show us your screen wall" It should come up in a search. Great photo's and resource for what you are looking for.

i prefer the foam to the panels, but not sure about the longevity of it.

Foam is significantly less effective and, therefore, not as good a choice.
