I think im about done with HD DVD..I started out siding on MS's side with HD DVD, and I've owned a Toshiba A2 and now a XA2 and Im tired of the bugs. Im tired of getting to the end of a movie only to have it lock up and having to wind up watching it in standard def when I paid $27 for it. Im tired of having people over to demo my $50k theater only to have HD DVD's stutter, lose audio, and freeze, its embarrassing. I have the latest firmware, but I still get plagued with problems. Is this how it is for everyone else?

I have a PS3 that I use for playing Blurays only and they play so smoothly, they dont have the clunky feeling of the HD DVDS and they have NEVER given me **** when playing them. I have about 30 of each format so far and when I can I will buy blu ray from now on.

I use my Xa2 with a hd projector and have never had a movie lock up, stutter, lose audio etc. Maybe the issue is with another part of your setup.

A2 with firmware it had on it when I bought it. Never had any of those issues, all my movies play perfectly. I will NEVER do a firmware update unless I get issues. Too many people with issues after updates. Why chance a perfectly playing unit? And I suggested the same to my buddy with an A3 with original firmware. No issues for him either.

Sorry, whining threads go nowhere. Go check out the XA2 thread in the players forum.
