I'm purchasing an RS2 for myself and an RS1 for someone else. My plan is for the RS2 to be ceiling mounted at about 7.5' high, 14' away from a 110" diag. 16x9 screen. Seating is at 12.5'. Is this a good projector distance given the screen size in people's experiences? Any problem with fan noise given the height of the projector and the proximity of the seating?

I'm figuring the RS1 at 16' away, 7' height, 123" diagonal screen. Seating at 14'. Same questions as above apply.

Both rooms are completely dark.

Am looking for the benefit of people's experiences with these projectors.

As for fan noise. It seems to be situation dependant. I am one of those that doesn't find the fan noise that loud for the RS1. My RS2 is very quiet in the current setting, but I won't be able to tell how bad it is for another month or so.
