Hello, I have the SVS PB12+ which is a 900w dual 12 inch down firing sub. I have the JVC RS1 projector shelf mounted on the rear wall(about 10ft from where the sub is). On high bass scenes it is vibrating the projector so much the image goes fuzzy. I actually turned it down a bit, as it used to move the projector, forcing me to realign it.
I saw on previous threads damnening sheets as found at Parts Express might work. Anyone have experience with this? I'd hate to order one to no effect as their a bit pricey. And which to get, if I got one? http://www.partsexpress.com/webpage.cfm?&WebPage_ID=3
Before you spend that much try some Rubermaid shelf liner the thick foam one they also use it to keep things from sliding around in RV's and boats. It is relatively cheap I have some under my projector though I never had a problem, but maybe that's why too LOL.

You might need to try a ceiling mount.

Damping sheet won't do diddily for this problem. You need to stiffen the projector mount. How is it supported now?

Not well, I'm in a rental so I had to find something that would put as few screw holes in the wall as possible. It's basically two brackets coming out and supporting the board the projector is on, the board is not screwed to the brackets. Really don't want to ceiling mount, as I use a high power screen, so it needs to be low.

I really like "Escape From New York" - so I'm gonna help you out! :)
I have dual SVS PB12+2's (L and R). And an RS1 as well. I push the SVS's very hard. My RS1 is ceiling mounted. I had a heck of a time trying to keep the projector from vibrating during high BASS scenes. It was driving me crazy for over a month. I tried almost everything. Including equalization to tame the offending frequencies, extra support bracing to help try and steady the projector/mount, and even went as far as stiffing up the ceiling joists! No luck at all. :( However - I finally figured it out (thanks to other AVS members whom also own the RS1):
It wasn't the projector that was vibrating - it was the lens! So I took one of the extra foam "port plugs" from the SVS - and trimmed a little off the end - and placed it "around the lens." I cut it about three times as thick as the gap - and pushed (compressed) it between the lens and the outer trim ring using a screwdriver.
And guess what? It worked. And worked darn well. I'm back to pushing my SVS's as hard as ever. I was (and still am) very pleased w/ the result. Hope this helps. :)

I used the same approach as John and am very pleased. I bought 1" foam at a fabric store and cut it into several pieces. My pieces are roughly 2 to 3x the size of the actual space between the lens and its housing.

Well I've been going nuts searching for the little pink styrophoam insterts that were around the lens when the RS1 was shipped to me. I remember specifically saving them, but they aren't here anymore, interesting.
Anyway, as a temp measure I inserted some paper towers around the lens. Just watched a movie with some good bass scenes, so far so good!

Great! Black foam will work much better - as it exerts more pressure (which is needed). And is not an eyesore. Maybe you can get some from Joannas fabrics.
