Quick question, I have an old Panasonic RPTV, the PT-47WX52.

So it's got 3 display resolutions, 480i, 480p, and 1080i. I'll be using both the component and DVI input.
Do I need to calibrate to just the 3 resolutions, independent of input type( 3 total calibrations for 480i, 480p, 1080i)?
Or do I need to calibrate to input type (2 calibrations, one for component and one for DVI)?
I'm hoping I don't need to calibrate for each resolution and input type (which would be 6 calibrations total)....i.e. calibrate component for 480i, 480p, and 1080i and then calibrate DVI for 480i, 480p, and 1080i.
I've searched, and it seems calibrating differs from TV to TV which is why I'm posing the question.
Also since my only input source for the DVI will be the cable box, I can't run any test patterns through it. Is transferring the settings I get from say my DVD player calibrated with AVIA, and transferring them to the other input sources OK? I'm not looking for perfect here, just good enough;)
