So the fluxcubbie spreadsheet is telling me I should put my screen about 26 inches off of the ground. I think the theaters with stages look much nicer than those with no stage. If I put a stage up (I'm guessing around 8 inches, and put my screen at 26 inches, I'll only have about 18 inches to put my center. If my center is 8 - 12 inches tall, I can only have something like an 8 to 10 inch tall speaker stand. I'm picturing a really short stand. Anyone done this? What's it look like? This is one of the big reasons why I'm considering in wall speakers. I'd rather go with in room speakes, but I keep thinking that having that center so close to the ground (stage) can't be good for sound.
