I'm a little confused as to the proper way I should hook everything up. I believe everything needs to go through my Receiver to properly control everything but there is only 2 HDMI Inputs on my Receiver (One HDMI Out).

What's the best way to hook everything up?

Samsung 61" HL-S6188
Yamaha 1700 Receiver
PS3 (HDMI)
Xbox 360 (HDMI)
Oppo 981 (HDMI)
DirecTV (HDMI)
Harmony 1000

you will need a hdmi switch...

something like this (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=101&cp_id=10110&cs_id=1011002&p_id=2777&seq=1&format=2)...

this will allow you to hook up everything hdmi and route it through your receiver...

i do not know if there are harmony remote codes for it... i believe it picks up whatever input is "active", so i don't think you'd even need it...

no, if you read a few threads on this subforum, many seem to be using it with success... there's probably a couple right on the first page, just look for "switch" in the titles... oppo also makes one that costs about twice as much if it would make you feel better...

ah, a fellow ascend owner! :) sierra's across the front for me, and htm-200's for surrounds. paradigm servo-15v2 sub though.
