Hello. I have been watching the forum for a while and I am almost ready to jump in and purchase a dual format player. Currently I like the Samsung BD-UP5000 but this may change when LG release newer firmware updates. My question is,
do any of the latest dual format players support any type of streaming media functions via ethernet along with the blueray and hd-dvd support? I am looking for one that supports divx and/or xvid. I figure this would be easy to implement since all the players already have ethernet ports.

Thanks for any info.

Also interested in this. However it doesn't seem like the manufacturers want you to do this. Otherwise they;d advertise it as a feature. It may take a hack or something to make streaming from a networked PC work on one of these puppies.
Another issue: wouldn't the player need to be able to decode mp3s, avis, etc??
