using my BoomBox SUX1 and a Sportster 4. Is this possible? I do have TimeTrax, but this software from what I have tried will not work. Besides this software has gone by the wayside

Thanks
JB

PS.....how about recording from the internet through Sirius?

You can record with Replay AV...it is a nice little program.

You are correct...it is a nice little program. I guess I want my cake and eat it also. But is is too bad that it does not break it up and title the song also. I guess that is asking too much.
But the demo mode was enough to record and convert to try the program. now I'll go and checkout the price.

But a program with a little more control would be really nice

Thank you
JB

I found something called freeradio or something like that (I will post when I get home tonight) that does a really good job. We can't have streaming audio at work so now I just listen to sirius at home and save it to mp3 files and take it to work with me playing it thru my radio's aux port. One nice feature is you can adjust the quality. I had mine set to 32kb or something like that because that was the limit that sirius provided and it works fine. I have about 2 days of stuff and it only used up about 75mb

Thanks to all....alot of good info coming in. But I still have not seen anyting that will work with what I have or anything that records like Time Trax or SX Recorder with online streaming

Keep it coming, I know there has to be something out there

Let me get this correct, do you want to record of the on-line sirius (which is free with a subscription) or directly from the radio. I just log on and let it rip. Every 1:30 minutes sirius askes me if I am still listening. I don't know how you can record from the receiver directly.

I want to record sirius and the audio cd from Dish Network, I'm going to record on my dvr, then to a cd recorder to play in my car. These computer programs mentioned are they a good option for good sound quality?

when you used it, did it record from the stream or what was coming through your speakers? It seems to be recording what was coming from the speakers...something funky with the log in, maybe I was doing it wrong. I recored some dead shows off sirius, I haven't listened to them yet, just stockpiling them for future editing. It is going to be quite a chore to break them up into songs, but it should be fun.

When I did use it. .... Yes, it recorded what was coming through the speakers. Being used to Time Trax, I was hoping to separate the songs...besides labeling them. The program did not. It recorded what it heard from Start Recording to when you stopped.

I have since located a program that works with Sirius and does (hopefully) what I am looking for. I do not have all the hardware at this moment

Replay Music can split and tag songs, but it records from sound card.

Replay AV can get a digital copy of the stream, so I prefer to use it.
