I've just purchased a blu-ray player to watch movies on my Mitsubishi wd-57731 and all is well if I attach these devices directly but when my Yamaha rx-v661 is introduced into the mix, this is where things go awry. The AVR is suppose to pass 1080p but when I try to pass it through the AVR the tv displays a brighter/flashing picture. Thinking I could remedy this, I bought a powered splitter to split the signal. One hdmi into the receiver(audio) and the other to a different hdmi input(video) in the tv. Well, it works half way.....The video displays fine but the audio only outputs 2 channel... Does anyone know of a product that I can use to achieve this above or some kind of workaround?

SAME problem. It's PCM instead of bitstream. You ever get an answer?
