Hi I'm new here and haven't kept up with audio technology in 20+ years. Is there such a thing as good wireless outdoor speakers? Is there a general consensus as to what would be the best?

Listen, Rip Van Winkle, a lot has changed in the last 20 years. Seriously, it depends upon your definition of good.

Cmon you know what I mean- OK then, are there any that could compete with a entry to mid-level "audiophile" speaker?

In my opinion, no. For outdoor use, which is usually just background music anyway, they might be fine. Not really "audiophile" quality though.

I remember reading about some pretty decent outdoor speakers in the past but I don't know names/brands/etc. I'd check around home theater mag's website since I recall seeing it in their mag. Lots of people have outdoor speaker setups by the pool and even have outdoor theaters - if you can pay for it, I'm SURE there are options.

I have a pair of Advent wireless speakers I use that sound nice
