I can't believe it's Dec. 31st.and there isn't a thread on projectors to be introduced at CES! I realize that Cedia is the venue that gets the most new product intros,but there are some obvious holes in the product offerings of the mainline manufacturers available today.Come on insiders,how about a little intell, to give us something to look forward to for 2008! Will Marantz be introducing a 15S2 model?

Since we just saw alot of new projectors (sony's VW60 and VW200, JVC's RS2, LCD's new D-7 pannel and even sim's new Darkchip 4). I think the biggest news for front projectors will be new single chip DLP projectors with Darkchip 4. Maybe at Cedia we will see higher lumens, 120HZ and of course, higher contrast ratio projectors.

CES isn't a projector show. In fact, many HT guys dont even bother. There's just too many exhibitors showing almost everything electronic.

CEDIA is the big announcements.

Sony will have the VPL-vw40, With a MSRP of $3K to $3.5K. It is a lower margin product and likely street wil lbe the MSRP of $3K. There are threads you can already research on the differences betwen a 40 and a 60.
