I have a JVC LCD TV, and when looking at the settings there is one for "Dynamic Gamma". It can either be on, or off. My question is, is what would the correct setting be?

When I have it on, it appears to add some brightness to scenes in movies, and when I have it off, the scenes are slightly darker. I'm having some trouble determining which is more natural in appearance.

Also, what exactly is this setting intending to do to the picture?

Marketing feature ... like auto contrast ... if you care about image quality, you keep it off.

Thank you Michael.

I suspected as much, but I needed verification on this! :)
