My father in law works for a very well known cabinet company and builds their trade show setups. I told him I was looking for a credenza style A/V setup that could hold a single sub in the center. This is what he built...Looking for everyone's opinion. Total for Materials is in the $1000-$1300 range. The legs were an amazing $400 for the set but free to us which is why they were used.

Please disregard the cheap equipment...I have a 16 month old son who has already blown one tower speaker and loves to fiddle with things so there is no way I am dumping funds into high quality equipment.

very nice built, close attention to detail.
the only flaw i saw was the cost. For $1400 i would just go out and buy the one that already made, for much cheaper. But then again, i am a builder, i usually built custom thing so i do know and appriciated the value of things i built, it felt good knowing that u built it no doubt. Maybe you just need to shop more wisely, because $400 bucks for legs! ? lol

by the way, did you have some ventilation in the back for that receiver?

LOL yah $400 for legs is ridiculous but like I said all the material was free...I would never pay $400 for legs. Each of the 3 sections is vented in the back with a 5 inch hole and on the insides with a 3 inch hole.

Everything my father-in-law and I build is solid surface Corian so the cost is always a bit higher than wood would be. Always looks amazing though ;)

Thanks for the comments guys!
