Hey guys, I'm new to this stuff so bear w/ me.
Simply put I'm looking to get the best PQ out of my setup:
Sony KDS-50A2000 {HDMI} PS3

Q1)I'm guessing I should set the PS3/BD settings first?
Q2)What settings should be used on the PS3?
RGB full range~Limited/Full?
Super White~On/Off
ect.
Q3)Whats a good calibration disc I could use to get the most out of my BDs?

Thanks guys
& if ya happen to have this same setup I'd love if you could post your settings
As of now mine are:

Advanced Iris: Auto 2
Picture: 90
Brightness: 56
Color: 54
Hue: 0
Color Temp: Warm 2
Sharpness: 30
Noise Reduction: Off

Advanced Settings:
Black Corrector: Off
Gamma: Off
Live Color: Off
Detail Enhancer: Low
Edge Enhancer: Off

White Balance (same as CNET):
r-gain: -2
g-gain: -1
b-gain: 0
r-bias: -3
g-bias: -2
b-bias: -1

Settings not mentioned are set to factory defaults

Thanks again ;)

Greetings

If you want "the best" picture quality ... we will assume you want an "accurate" image or as close to that as possible.

Start with a test disc ... DVE ... DVE HD-DVD ... Monster ISF ... Get Gray ... They will all help you to get a better image than just blindly swapping settings with other people. Even something free like the THX optimode will help as well.

No pro calibrated set keeps any of the advanced features on. Iris is never set to Auto.

Use limited for RGB range. I'm not quite sure what superwhite does as I haven't had time to test it, but off is most likely your best setting.

Michael answered this one...

Probably have better luck with this by posting it in the specific A2000 thread in the RPTV forum.

EDIT: In general, copying gain/bias settings is a bad idea. They seem to vary quite a bit from set to set. Other settings (brightness, color, etc.) usually vary much less between sets, but there is always going to be some variation. A good test disc will help you determine the settings appropriate for your specific set, as Michael suggested.
