After over a year of trouble free use my projector filnally got the infamous statup problem.
I sent it back east to be repaired and they did it pretty quickly, however it seems they were a bit careless.
When I opened the box the lens cap was just sitting on top. I think it wolud have been better to be placed on the lens. I shipped the projector to them in the soft plastic bag. They shipped it back with the bag just laying on top of the projector.
When I turned the projector on it looks like the firmware was reset including the lamp timer.
The repair sheet listed that they had to re-attach a wire to the ballast.
But the real problem is that there are now dust blobs. They're not only on the screen, but also spill onto the wall around the screen. Does that mean that the dust is on the lens?
How can I clean it?
thanks,
~Jay
