You made a thread to ask a question about a promotion that you could have just contacted Best Buy to ask.

Just noticed? And most forums are like that. Atleast the ones I go to.

I thought it was place for interaction, debate, and questions. No one forces you to answer or even read posts. Why not be helpfull instead of a jerk? Not everyone has time for research and this is a great place to find answers. I don't understand your tone. Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed?

No, I woke up with a great night sleep after using xbox live flawlessly. It takes less time to search and read the posts, than to wait for replies. You are correct in that it is a great place to find answers, not have them spoon fed to you.

I agree no need to be rude. I know ive asked something once or twice that i could have found out with a little more effort. But that said, its just as easy to type bestbuy.com as avsforum.com

It's probably the thread title combined with the content that draws hostility. I read the title as "bestbuy: buy a big screen and get a free 360" "?'s". The title made me think that I was about to read a thread about a great deal at BB and if you had any questions, please enter the thread and the original poster of such great news will have already posted the details and a great discussion of said details would follow.

Then when I opened the thread there was this huge let down from the initial hype. A whole thread created for one sentence (I guess, even though there is no punctuation) that could have been answered by the OP typing even less into the search here, or any search engine.

If the title was, "Are there any current promotions for the 360?", or "I'm looking for a big TV and a 360. Suggestions?" then there would have been the opportunity for discussion, or others would have had a better idea of what the thread was and been able to read or avoid knowing fully what the thread was about.

Vague titles suck, and to back it up with even less content is adding insult to injury.

Plus he went out of his way to bold it!

Not just bold, but larger type size as well. That's the part that annoys me. :)

I was forced to read this post because I missed the question mark at the end of the title. This thread is silly.
Assasyn is right Mindwarper. This post has no reason to be created. In the time it takes to post and wait for an answer the OP could have just called his local BestBuy.

I know the reason I read this forum is because it is filled with professional adults who are good at what they do. They are smart and helpful. Something we should all strive to be. If I wanted to read threads like this I would hang out a Gamespot.com.
