I'm looking to make my own test tone CD. I know about the real traps CD, but I don't care for the layout. I want each freq on it's own track.

I'm not sure what properties to use for tones. I've seen other cd's use sine waves so I'll use that. what about sample rate, sample format? Can i use Audacity to create my sine waves? Do i need to adjust for the radio shack meter? Any other properties I need to know? Thanks.

I made all the sine waves for the RealTraps test CD in Sound Forge. Maybe the simplest thing for you to do is download our CD, edit the tracks into separate files in whatever audio editor you have, then reassemble them onto a CD. I already did most of the work for you - no need for you to start totally from scratch! :D

it might be easier to start fresh. I did download it and played some of the tones. They sounded the same as the few I made in Audacity but graphically they look very different.

do spl meter adjusments work for sine waves too or just pink tones.

Thanks for your input.

Adjustments or corrections? If you mean the latter, see this:
