I just love this feature. I occasionally see one light in Greenland. I want to play that guy. I see lights in the ocean. Not Hawaii, but lights out in no where. Islands or ships? Africa never seem to have any lights. The east side of Australia is well lit. There seems to be a band of players in Alaska. I just find it fascinating. Anyone else love this feature?

Ps I wonder who lives in the most remote or is at the strangest location of this forum?

When I did play Halo for that one week that was cool to see. There are no Russian players last time I seen it.

edit: add info

nevermind there was a light way south off of the southern most tip of india. googled it and it looks like the maldives islands.

Yeah, my buddies and I always get a chuckle out of that when we are playing on-line. Makes me wonder who these people are in the remote places that can afford a connection to the Internet and electricity. I mean, be honest, in Africa there are some lights on that surprise the heck out of me. I also like the concentration of lights, even in the US.

I always find it interesting the concentration of lights right up to the Mississippi river on the east side and then a dark patch getting lighter towards the west coast.

Yeah it made us laugh when we played Halo. There is one guy in Africa in the East/Southeast section that played Halo a good bit when it first came out.

Is this the map that runs in the bottom left hand side of the screen just after the lobby? Is there anyway you can enlarge it in Halo 3?

The only island I know of thats south of Hawaii and off the coast of South America (Ecuador) is the Galapagos island. I told my gf one time that I saw a tiny light there and that is the only island there so yeah....someone (or a few) gamers are playing on the Galapagos Island. Cool huh

I have a friend that thought those were actual lights, not just representing people online in Halo 3. He was like "WTF, theres no people in Africa"?

I've just never seen any lights there. I just love the feature. I still want to play one of these far off locations, even if there is lag.
