I am looking for something low profile that will accomodate my LCD rear projection (52" wide) and my A/V components. The problem I am having is that I will probably need a bridge over the TV to accomodate my future center channel (23"W X 8"H), but it seems that all these units are gigantic and would swallow my room. I also hope to find something that was designed with A/V user in mind and not as just a piece of furniture. Anyway, any recommendations would be great. Thanks.

My requirements were that the stand be very well built and low profile (as close to the 17" Sony stand as possible); this stand is 18" tall, 64.5" wide, and can hold up to 250 lbs on the top shelf and 175 lbs on the bottom shelf. I think it fits the bill quite nicely and I have read great things about BDI.

Unfortunately, I haven't received the stand yet as I just ordered it a few days ago and it takes 5-7 days to ship. I can post pics when I get it (hopefully next week?) if you are interested.
