Hi Guys,

I was hoping someone could give me some advice With my home theater setup.

Display: Mitsubishi 73733 73" DLP
AV Receiver : (Currently sony HTIB) Upgrading to Yamaha RX-V3800 in Feb
Front Speakers: Polk RTi8
Center - Polk CSI 4
Rear/Rear Surrounds - Polk RTI4

My Problem is mounting the Surround L and R speakers. On one side i have a window that takes up the entire wall. If i put the speaker behind the window it would interfere with the Rear surround speakers and unfortunatley i can't put the speakers in front of the window, because the opening to the room is on the opposite wall.

My question is, would i be ok mounting the speaker above the window and angling it down to my listening position, or should i mount it directly to the wall ( no angle )

also, should the surround speakers be mounted at the same level as the rear speakers?

I can try to post a picture of the room layout later if i was unclear.

Thanks,
Steve

Can you provide some kind of image or drawing? I'm having trouble visualizing your layout.
