I read that you can't table mount a projector (hc1500 hd70) because the image will be distorted vs. ceiling mounting. Is this true, and if so, can I leave the projector on the table?

Both PJs have a substantial image offset which will put the image 12" to 18" higher than the table. If your table is 2 feet tall or less and you have an 8 foot ceiling you should be fine. There will be no distortion.

The image offset allows for coffee table setups, especially shorter throw designs. Presentation PJ offsets are ideally designed for table top setups.

I put my InFocus 4805 on this. http://www.shaweemba.com/p-altgpa2040.html
I had to adjust for some shelf tilt but it works quite well with a DVD player above it, remotes on a shelf.

I have some glass topped coffee tables that have a shelf that works also. Anything with a shelf about 10" above the floor will work.

Awesome site... I was planning on buying an AV rack almost identical to that, but its over twice the price!
