Replacing a Yamaha YST-SW011 (http://www.dealtime.co.uk/xPF-Yamaha-YST-SW011) with an Athena AS-P400 (http://www.dealtime.com/xPF-Athena-AS-P400)?
The Athena will only cost me $75. Is it worth it?
The Athena has twice the power and a larger woofer (and rated down to 23Hz instead of 30Hz for the Yamaha) so I'd say yes.
edit: Of course, I'd rather save up and get a REAL sub...

Well, this is a placeholder whilst I save for a real sub. At $75, I figured it wouldn't hurt to take it off someone else's hands.

Replacing a Yamaha YST-SW011 with an Athena AS-P400?
I've got the AS-P400 and AS-P4000
They are well worth that price and more and will be a awesome upgrade over the yammy. They only thing I would be concerned about is sight unseen. The 400 is an older model, the 4000 replaced it and now the 4100 has replaced the 4000 so it's going to be several years old. Providing you can verify it's condition jump on it and you'll be happy with the difference.
