My still unfinished basement theater measures 12.5'x24'x7'. I already have an SVS Pb12/plus2 subwoofer. The model I have is discontinued although there still seem to be some left for a lower price. If I do decide to buy another sub it will be one of the SVS models. Would it matter much if I chose one of the cylinder subs?

It seems like now is the perfect time to snatch up a second PB12 Plus/2. The clearance price is an awesome deal on one heck of a sub! The only downside I can think of is if the one you already have is in a different finish than the ones SVS still has in stock. While a cylinder would probably work out for you, it would have significantly less output than a PB12 Plus/2. Call or e-mail SVS. They're incredibly helpful and should help you make up your mind. I think the PB12 Plus/2 is a steal right now, though, and if you can afford it, it seems like the way to go IMO. Two PB12 Plus/2's in a 2100 cubic foot room should be incredible!

I just purchased another SVS PB12-Plus/2! At $200 off and with limited stock left, I know I would be kicking myself if I waited too long and they sold out. I was going to buy another one before the price reduction. Very glad I waited.:)

Should a second sub be the same model? You answered your question. I suggest that your 3rd and 4th sub be the same as well.

I have a Plus/2 and matched it in the same room with a Plus (single 12) tuned the same, and they work flawlessly together... but I just snatched up another Plus/2 in Piano Black for $950 on B-Stock... ;)
