I recently purchased an LG Super Blu player (BH200), because I figured it would be easier to watch my collection of Blu-rays, HD-DVD's, and DVD's than using my PS3 with stupid bluetooth remote, and my HD-DVD player, etc. I have a nice Harmony remote, and I hate that it won't work with my PS3.

The major problem I have is that I recently invested a large sum of money in a Denon AVR-4308CI, that decodes DTS-HD MA, and Dolby TrueHD, and the LG won't really allow me to hear either of these, I thought it would. I desperately need to see my display on my receiver light up and say DTS-HD or Dolby TrueHD.

I am going to return my LG and buy an HD-DVD player (new one that will pass both of these bitstream) unless my Toshiba HD-A1 will (doubt it), and new Blu-ray player, which will do the same. So if anybody can just list me a few choices of each, and rough prices, I don't want to spend much more than a grand total, if that is possible. Or is there a combi player that will do this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

"desperately"???!???

Why, oh why, is this so important to people?

For about $15, you can buy the Nyko remote USB dongle and use it with your universal remote...I do that with my Home Theater MX500 universal and it works great.

I don't know why it is important, other than knowing for sure that it's working.

My receiver accepts multichannel PCM. I hear sound out of all the speakers, and my HD-DVD player says it's sending TrueHD. I'm pretty sure it's working. :)
