I have a Samsung 6187s DLP HDTV hokked up to an Onkyo 805 and I have my PS3 running through the Onkyo. I was watching 300 and noticed a slight flciker on the screen. I did not have this issue when I had the PS3 directly hooked into my Sony bravia in my bedroom. I also did not notice the flicker when I was playing PS3 games..what could be the issue??

I don't see how it could be the TV when the issue doesn't happen when the receiver is not in the equation. How is it hooked up?

OMG!! I went through my Samsung HLS5687 flickering. Didn't matter the input. They changed the boards and light engine and bulb assemply and eventually just replaced the unit. So now I have the HLT5687 and the damn thing is flickering again. I'm at my wits end about what causes this. No one believes me when I tell them a DLP is flickering. And every component hooked up to the HLT is differrent than what was hooked up to the HLS. I am sorry you are having problems. I thought I was the only one.

Surge protecters? Power Centers? Switch them out and try a different one maybe? Do any of you have one or the correct one for your components just to rule that out?

That's strange. I have the same tuner and a 6176 with no flicker at all. Have you tried switching to component video for a test? (from the tuner to the tv...) It won't be 1080p I believe but might give you an idea as to what is happening. Sounds like there may be some video setting incorrect in the tuner. Have you tried different inputs? I have my PS3 on Aux1 and it works fine.

From both descriptions it seems like its got to be the tuner. I have no troubles with my 805. I would definitely play with ALL the video settings. You're both running HDMI all the way right? ANd you've tried different cables?
