I just bought my PS3 80 gig model, and I've played FEAR on it. I just now put in my Ratchet & Clank Future game, and I get the message "Your HDD has insufficient space. You need 419 MB available for the initial setup . . ." So FEAR took all 80 Gig? Anyway, why am I getting this message as I obviously have plenty of HDD space available. Thanks.

That's a bug in Ratchet and Clank. I've gotten that message as well. Just go to the PSN store, download a game/movie, and delete it. That should fix it. From what I've heard, you need to download a file over 500MB. I downloaded the entire Uncharted demo and that fixed it.

I ran into this same problem and downloaded a 1.2g demo and it didn't fix it. I am now on my 3rd demo with no luck. Let me know if you find a solution.

Thanks. I downloaded Uncharted Demo, let the PS3 install it, then went back to Ratchet and started the game. It set it up and I'm good to go.

I'm reviving this long-dead thread just to say how awesome this forum is.

My 40 GB YLOD'd last Monday, got a slim on Tuesday, and wouldn't you know it, I got this same error message (insufficient space on HDD) when I tried to play Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction for the first time on the slim yesterday. After finding this old thread, my first attempt to DL and delete the Lego Harry Potter demo didn't work, so I did just as the OP, I DL'd and installed (but didn't delete) the Uncharted 1 demo, and boom! R&C installed!
