what are you supposed to put for these two? do you set video resolution to your TV's native resolution? or what your PS3 is set to output? and what about image resolution? the default was 1280x1024.

it seems like i can play every type of file except MKV's. i have transcoding set to "only when needed". also, what should i set "windows media encoder" to?

i didn't install ffmpeg and all the other codecs it asked me to, because i already have ffmpeg installed (CCCP - combined community codec pack).

PS3 will not play Matroska files. You should either set it to 1920x1080 or 1280x720. If you
want Matroska files to be converted to DivX get AutoMKV program.
