Thought I would try the original Half Life (PS2) on the 60 gig PS3. I set up the internal memory card to slot one. Played through three levels, and did a bunch of quick saves. Then turned it off, and when I came back to it later, it said there were no saves to be found even though the PS3 clearly shows the save in the memory card slot 1. Even more weird, I had adjusted some settings and saved those, and those were loadable- just not the progress in the game. Anyone out there with a fix or work-around?
Thanks

Quick saves don't save the game after you turn it off. The warning message when you quick save should tell you that.
You have to go into the main menu and save the game from there to save data after you turn off the console.
Have fun thru Half-Life. Truly an amazing game.
And if you decide to pick up The Orange Box which contains plenty of Half-Life goodness, wait until the much needed patch is out that fixes many of the bugs and tech problems that The Orange Box for PS3 shipped with.

He's right about quicksaves and he's right that Half-Life is an amazing game. I disagree on the Orange Box though, patch or not go pick it up it's still amazing experience and shouldn't be waited on a for a couple framerate hitches. Just my opinion though.
