Not trying to stir things up. Just wondering, do you think Toshiba saw this coming and that would explain the $99 HD-DVD player deals that recently occurred. They were even $99 in Canada on Boxing day but even after boxing day they can be found for $199.

I almost think they knew this was gonna happen and needed to dump their inventory asap.

No, all indications are that the Warner decision was made less than 2 weeks ago and that the $100 HD DVD sale in November was just Toshiba's strategy for increasing the number of HD DVD players sold.

Please look around. This has been mentioned more than a couple times.
