I attempted a while back to paint a yellow wall red without using primer. I know.........really bad idea. Several coats later, I had yellow bleeding through all over the place.

I had decided to pay someone to paint the room but i'm a pretty competitive person so I decided to take at least one more wack at it...This time using primer.

I got the primer all the walls with little incident. The problem is that I have wrinkles in one spot that's maybe 2 feet wide and abou a 2 feet tall and I can't get rid of this spot. If I peel the primer off and try to redo it, the area just wrinkles up again because it's like in the middle of the wall and won't blend with the other smooth primer around it.

Helllllllllllpppppppppppppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like something is on the wall in that spot and/or you used a primer that is not compatible with the under-paint.

I would be worried that the whole wall is prone to the coming loose if you can't determine what is going on in that one spot. Is there some furniture wax or something on the wall?

If you are confident that the rest of the room is there to stay you need to clean off the bad spot, wash and degrease it. Sand the area to give it a little tooth and re-prime. You should be able to feather the spot into the rest of the area and you won't notice it.

That wrinkled up area has got to come off so get started.

First, I have to get to the store to get the proper sandpaper.
