I have an Xbox Elite , Onkya SR 800, and a PT-56 DLX76 (1080P). I was clueless hooking it all up, am surprised it even works. Okay... My receiver does 1080P, So I have my Direct TV HD going into it via HDMI, same with XBOX ELITE. and I have a 30 dollars HDMI cable going from OnKYA to TV. Is this my best method to hook up ? I just ordered the DVD Disc to calibrate HD.... My HD DVD mircosoft add on player looks good, but not like the ones I see in the stores. Not like WOW that picture is great. Any help ?

Which calibration disc did you order?
Ideally you should hook the Xbox and the cable box to separate inputs on the TV so they can be individually calibrated.
Properly calibrated the picture from the Xbox HD-DVD drive should give you a fantastic picture.

if your reciever does true hd sound, then this is the only beneficial method of running your hdmi through your reciever. for best pq results, the hdmi outputs from your 360 and your satellite box need to be directly input into your tv set. i dont have an hdmi reciever but im sure the pq loss in signal will not be noticable. plus you can control everything within your reciever. i say go for it. but im sure the experienced will chime in.
