Kitok 01-07-08, 07:19 AM It appears that I was initially incorrect, no one purposely gave you incorrect information, Samsung does produce a RPTV with 120Hz technology. Bigsnyder was correct about the LED RPTVs as I confirmed this at the Samsung website. In addition I know that the Sony KDS-XXA3000 (now discontinued) and Mitsubishi WD-XX833 also have it. The simplest thing for you, is to do a little homework on the Samsung website. http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/type/type.do?group=televisions&type=televisions The annual Cosumer Electronics Show is also currently running and Samsung along with all of the other major (and not so major) companies have already announced new products for the marketplace. I hope this helps you. Please have a good day. Brimstone-1 01-07-08, 12:54 PM A DLP chip is roughly 1000 times faster than LCoS. DLP response time is measured in microseconds. LCoS response time is measured in milliseconds. bigsnyder 01-07-08, 05:12 PM The current 87S/89S series LED sets are 120hz AFAIK. sam9007 01-07-08, 07:20 PM So i was told lies then they do have one. Brimstone-1 01-07-08, 07:47 PM DLP uses 120hz for the "3d" mode. I'm not aware of them using 120hz for regular viewing. I'm pretty sure most, if not all current DLP sets us 60hz. The Sony uses 120hz for black frame insertion just like LCD flat panels. |
