When you unfolded the material, does it appear wrinkled? I would take a strip of cardboard about 1/2 inch wide, fold the screen material tightly around it, and staple through onto the frame, two layers of screen material surrounding one layer of cardboard. The edge of the cardboard is what exerts the tension, not the staples. The typical cardboard that comes with a shirt I would say is too thin. I would go with staples about 3 inches apart. I pulled mine to the back of stretcher bar frame using canvas pliers and stapled, using the start in the middle one one side put in three staples, same on opposite side then one end then the other end then back to begining for a few more staples and so forth came out great my staples are basically right next to each other all the way around. |
