Ok where to start!
If this is wrong section please delete but this is the only place i could find to put this.
2 years ago i purchased this tv and not had a single problem until yesterday, where i turned on the T.V and noticed in the top left and top right corner a purpleish / pinkish blobs or cloudy effect. It is only situated in these area's.
Now when i bought the TV (3 months before powerhouse went into liquidation) i also bought the 5 years extended insurance plan which was an extra £200 now it seems that plan isn't worth the paper it was printed on, as when i purchased it originally powerhouse infact rang them to make sure the lamp was covered under it and they said yes... Now if the lamp is the problem they are saying it's not covered and the documentation i got says otherwise, and infact the person from the insurance company more less said my cover is void because powerhouse is no more....
Anyways to cut a long story short could these blobs be a optical problem or is the lamp failing? as the engineer thats coming out this friday said it can be only either the optical unit or the lamp and said if it's the optical unit then the tv will need to be replaced.... But if it's the lamp then i have to pay for it myself to which 4 kids a wife and christmas just gone means i don't have it :(.
I'm pretty much ashamed of the company the policy was taken out with and will never fall into this trap again next time i'll put a wii remote through the damn thing and claim on the house insurance.
please any help and what the cause of this problem would greatly be appreciated and prevent me worrying an further...
