I have a large space (16 x 24) but with an ackward viewing area. Basically using only 1/3 of the room for TV/DVD viewing and gaming. Music s listened to elsewhere. I been looking at the mirage omni sat v2 as well as the prestige line.

I have a Yamaha Rx V 861 7.1 receiver. I am looking at the Omni V2 sat as the 2 fronts, the omni cc, and the nano prestige for the 2 rear channels. I have an energy 10 inch sub already.

Dealer advice was not to mix the V2 with the prestige's. He said it significantly weaked the system. Is this really true or is this an up-sale line?

Also because of type of Mirage speaker, dealer indicated I should replace the sub as well. My understanding of subs is that they are the one item that you can mix.

Any advice would be appreciated
