I have an AV setup in the spa room with a 26" flat screen from the receiver via hdmi. Sound is through the B-speaker output, splitter, to four speakers controlled through impedance matching volume control.
So here's the problem: With spa jets running, the sound is barely audible at the usual receiver volume setting. Now, if I crank the receiver up to max, then I can enjoy Band of Brothers in all its sonic glory, but wife gets blown out of living room and life becomes living hell. So....
is there a way to increase power the B-speakers, separately from the main? Preout to volume-controlled amp to B's perhaps?
