Here's my issue.
I've got a TV service that has mutliple set-top boxes that are designed to work over Cat5 cable from a central board. If I've got a house that already has home-run coax cable, it sure would be great to just put all the set-top boxes in the basement, and use a remote control extender to control them.
Here's the problem with that: All the Remote Control Extenders I've ever seen are "one-channel" type outfits. Usually people won't have 5-6 of the same set-top box in their house so they can just buy one universal remote-control extender for all their devices. I would need to be able to set the set-top boxes up in such a way that when you changed the channel on the one in the living room, it didn't change the channel on all of them.
I guess the abbreviated question is: Is ther a multi-channel UHF / RF remote control extender system? I know they can do it with UHF microphones, I don't know why they can't do it with UHF Remote extenders. I have a UHF Mic system that has like 8 channels.
For the remote control setup, I could need as many as 5-6 separate channels. Any suggestions?
