I'm not sure if this is exactly the right forum fo this question, but I think my chances of finding the answer here are the greatest, so here goes!

I have a Sky HD satellite receiver (in the UK) which is connected via an HDMI to HDMI lead, then an HDMI to DVI adapter, to an HD Fury and finally to a Barco G808 projector.

Using this set up (and also viewing what's going on via an oscilloscope) I can only get an analogue output from the HD Fury If I force the HDMI output of the Sky Box (going into the HD Fury) to be 576p. Anything higher than this (720p or 1080i) and I get no sync or pictures from the HD Fury.

As the HD box AND the HD Fury are both new to me (today!) I have no idea which one is at fault. (or even the HDMI to DVI adapter perhaps??)

I should add that I can get a locked output from the Sky HD box via the component outputs at any resolution, ie 576p, 720p or 1080i, just nothing above 576p via the HD Fury.

Any ideas as to what's going on here?

The only HD equipment I have, is what's listed above, so I can't go swapping stuff about.

What's the most likely scenario here? I am going to try a proper HDMI to DVI cable when I can source one, and junk the adapter to see what happens, but ant other suggestions would be gladly received.

All the best.

Although there are some excellent people here, you'd be better off going over to Curt Palme's forum where the manufacturer of the HDFury has a thead and will try to answer your questions.
