I own a Panasonic PT-50LC13 and, surprise surprise, the lamp went out early in December. I tried to get in on the lawsuit but since I bought it on clearance (new in box, though) in August of 2006, and I hadn't experienced any issues until now, Panasonic shafted me and wouldn't give me a replacement.
Anyways, I went ahead and got another lamp now, but I think part of the culprit for the original lamp going out was that I have one toddler, sometimes two (son and nephew) constantly running around and they would constantly turn off the TV at the worst time. Of course my wife or I would just turn it right back on. I'm no expert on TVs but I would think that might affect the lamp a little.
So, in order to try and safeguard this lamp, I want to know if its possible to just disable those front buttons. I tried looking for a "button guard" but the ones I found are all flimsy and easily removed by your average 3 and 2 year old. ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
