I have a Samsung DLP 1080p tv. And recently it's been making a cracking noise while watching it, and after i turn it off.

any idea what this maybe?

If you just got it then it could be the expansion of the plastic due to the high temperatures of the tv. My DLP did this when I first got it.

If it's older. try vacuuming all the vents and the external grill in front of the fan. Even a little dust blocking the vents causes heat issues which in turn can cause those noises.

yeah, i got it around 6 months ago...

i'll try and vacum out the vents and hope that works....
