Looking at the Onkyo HT-SP908 HTIB which comes bundled with the DV-SP405. Does this DVD player do a good job with upconversion or should I buy an Oppo DV-980 or DV-981?

Anyone have the Onkyo DV-405?

I have the 405 as part of the htib set. It seems to work o.k. watched potc3 and blood diamonds and a few other movies in the 2 weeks we've owned it. I have nothing to compare it with, yet looks great on our bravia lcd

Same here, works great with my BRAVIA 52' LCD (1080i)... I'm getting a Sharp AQUOS FULL HD this week... I will let you know how did it go with upconverting all the way to 1080p..

By the way, does anyone know how to make it MULTIREGION??
