i was just given a samsung HL-R5087W from 2005 i can hear it but the video is out and when i had video there were alot of lines coming down is there a way to conect the usb to run a diagnostict on the computer or does somebody have an answer please help :)

If the lines were evenly spaced like prison bars it most likely needs a new DMD board, like a motherboard, costs more than the tv is worth unless you can find some used parts.

If some other kind of lines, more details would help.
