I haven't seen this on my A3000. I would say if you are within your return/exchange period, do so and get yourself a new unit.

If under warranty, just call up Sony and have a Tech look at it.

The only problem I have had is the ghosting issue if I sit on the floor and look up at tv. although this is common problem.

I am planning to get a lower stand to house tv in. current stand is 24 inches above floor.

I haven't seen this either. How long have you had your set?

You forgot to turn off the "Annoying Vertical Green Line" setting. It is buried in the XMB, so it is understandable. :)

Green line back. When it comes or goes it fads in and out. It doesn't just pop up and then disappear. It fads in, fads out. Going back. And with Sony pulling out of RPTV market I'm thinking about stepping out of it as well. Gonna cost me but maybe its just time.

I wouldn't, I would just get it fixed....but that's just me.

BSC....

It is a tough call. These A3000's pictures are amazing. I wouldn't even be thinking about it except now that this green line has shown up.

I understand where you are coming from but any set can have an issue. It's just one of those things. But you have to do what you are comfortable with.

Me personally, I would fix it.

Exchanging it not a problem, one of the reasons I like doing business at Ultimate Electronics, except no more A3000's. Since Sony's announcement killing the product Ultimate can not/will not order any more in. Sold what they had and they are gone.

So to stay in RPTV technology either Panasonic 61 inch RPTV, Mit 57833 OR move to, more money, plasma like the Panasonic 700u 60 inch.

Why not just get Sony to come fix it?

Well the good news, or bad news depending on your point of view, is the problem was already known to the tech guys "in the back" and mine is not the first one to have the problem. Would have liked another 60A3000 but as stated no more to get.

Ended up with Samsung 6189s. It i really quite nice as well.

Still getting used to it and some of the different nuances with setup/menu stuff going from a Japanese mindset to a Korean. Not judging, its just differerent.

Strange, I never heard of that problem and i even searched online to see if others might have had the same issue.

Either way good that you got it worked out. Let us know what you think of it.
