I snagged a JVC av-48wp74 for $200 .. couldn't pass it up... The only problem is that the picture is slanted just enough that it doesn't bother me with regular TV, but when watching anything thats 2.35, it drives you nuts. Someone mentioned opening it up and adjusting the gun... I noticed there is a wood panel screwed on there, so should I open up and give it a shoot as adjusting it?

I have the same JVC model. Had it for about 6 years now. It still has a great picture. Luckily I haven't had to open it up yet to do any work. One day I might to clean it out. Hope you can get it to work right.
