Interesting thing I wanted to bring up.

Paused/Recorded my Local NBC channel Sunday Morning (Meet the Press)...

Left it "Paused" all day at the point I had tuned in... Came back later in the day to watch the program. Maybe 12 hours later... After watching the program I deleted it AND it seemed the UTV had continued to buffer the local NBC channel. I tried to rewind/watch some of the American Gladiators program... BUT the UTV wasn't having any of that and Reset itself. But I was able to rewind almost a full 2 hours...

I want to say I've seen this already (on a smaller scale) in the past. Anyone seen it, or can recreate it? Kind of cool... If I don't get greedy and just rewind 30-60 minutes...

Take THAT Tivo!

The UTV has a 2-3 hour buffer. It also allows you to "record from the past" any program you were tuned to, but hadn't started to record when you initially tuned to it. So, if you tune into Lost from the beginning, but at 10:25 you decide you want to record it for your spouse, you can hit record and it will pick up the entire program in the recording.

As soon as you change the channel or watch a recorded show, though, the buffer will be lost.

Thanks for the reminder. After my posting I realized this isn't completely unheard of particularly when recording within say the first 2 or so buffer hours. I can tune to a station "live" while recording a program (Series for example) and I can continue watching the buffer of said channel "after" the recording (minus a small blip when the recording/buffer hands off). I just wasn't familiar with this "feature" say 10-12+ hours later.

It doesn't explain why it "reset" itself... if this were a Normal feature. I guess I'll look into this a bit and see if it can be repeated regularly.
