Hey all. I have someone coming to calibrate my 6010 shortly and current have a Sony 300 Blu-ray player. I plan to get the new Sammy UP5000 when it (finally) ships. If I have the 6010 calibrated on the Sony player, will the panel then need to be re-calibrated on the Sammy?

I also have a Sammy 1400 (the cheaper player in the Sammy line). Should I calibrate with that player on the theory that it's output will be "closer" to the output of its big brother the UP5000?

I've never had a display professionally calibrated, but I'm nearly certain that you'll have to re-calibrate your display for the new source. At the very least, you'll have to make some minor tweaks to the calibrated settings for your old player.

Maybe someone who has more experience can add something.
