So what are the options for rear projection for 2008? I currently have a 61" DLP samsung, I refuse to buy another samsung but also don't want to go smaller. Sony is out of RP. Mitsubishi is showing vaporware laser tv's that'll probably end up listing for a ton of cash. So what options besides samsung are there in the large screen RP DLP with decent prices?
I have no problem going up to LCD, but the prices for a 60"+ model are HUGE (and absurd).
I'd like to know the answer to this as well. Laser TV might be alot more than I'd be willing to spend, which so far looks like it'll leave just Samsung as the only other rptv option out there :(
1 other thing I was wondering about is isn't there supposedly other companies planning on releasing a laser tv other than Mitsubishi? With the lack of hype that Mits is getting so far with their talk of being outrageously priced, maybe a laser tv can be had for less from someone else? :)

a laser tv can be had for a decent five finger discount. Just make sure no one is looking while your at CES.
j/k
lets hope anyone else who comes out with one isnt by the name of SONY. Them suckers are expensive.

Its unfortunate that the local technical support put you through such a ringer, but sometimes it happens.
